Welcome to the podcast from EatSleepRugby. Join @FunontheShore, the Godfather and @jollyswagman340 as they provide a slightly less anglo centric yet hopefully still all encompassing rugby podcast. Beware, they do go off on tangents…

ESR 31-8-16 : Rugby Championship Round 2

ESR 15-8-16: Look Back At The Olympics

ESR Podcast Olympics Special

ESR 13-7-16 Announcement

Summer Holiday announcement time.

ESR 6-7-16 – Men’s Semis

How to record a Rugby podcast when there is little Rugby on? Probably not like this. A very tangent heavy episode from @funontheshore and @jollyswagman340 You have been warned.

ESR 29-6-16 – Radio Abuse, Mother in Laws, Zika, Some Rugby

@jollyswagman and the Godfather appeared as guests on Talk Radio 2 this week, leaving @funontheshore to help his in-laws move house. We look at England’s win in Australia, try to ignore Wales’s Loss in NZ, and dispense invaluable information regarding the Zika Virus.

ESR 22-6-16 – Aussie Rants

For Welshmen everywhere and (@funonthesore in particular) this is a week to discuss football and not Rugby. However the Godfather and @jollyswagman340 pull him back towards the main subject matter. England’s series victory in Australia dominates the headlines and our tame Aussie has a few things to say on the matter. Is he a good loser? You decide.

ESR 15-6-16- Northern Hemisphere Backlash

The Northern Hemisphere made a bit of a comeback this weekend, we look at the test matches, the Welsh Midweek catastrophe against the Chiefs, the fallout from the Godfather’s porn story and we hear just how upset a drunk Aussie sounds after defeat.

ESR 8-6-16 – Relatively Rugby Free Week

This week was all about the build up to the weekend’s tests, who will win the match between New Zealand and Wales (pssst… its New Zealand), and who will win the ‘Battle of the Onesie’ between the Godfather and the Jolly Swagman? Is Danny Cipriani better off touring a country where leaving your hotel to find a nightclub could mean certain death?

ESR – 1-6-16 – The Unedited One

@funontheshre is racing off on holiday today, so here is an unedited episode which is up a day early this week from the Godfather and @jollyswagman340. Hopefully the Podcast TMO won’t need to get involved via Skype from abroad! Enjoy!

ESR 25-5-16 – Jarryd Hayne: 7s Hero

@funontheshore, @Jollyswagman and The Godfather discuss Jarryd Hayne’s ‘successful’ debut in 7s, Exeter’s rise to the top and a bet emerges regarding Australia and England over the summer.

ESR 18-5-16 – A Threesome with Big Cocks

The EatSleepRugby podcast has expanded with the return of @jollyswagman340 to these shores. We discuss a whole range of rugby based news, from Jarryd Hayne, to the number of condoms supplied to Olympic athletes in Sydney 2000 and how this is changing the aspirations of professional Rugby players across the planet.

ESR 11-5-16 – What Goes On Tour….

@FunOnTheShore and the Godfather are joined in their post Tour alcoholic haze by transatlantic reports from @jollyswagman340 who is still on tour in the States.

ESR 4-4-16 Balls, Gashes, Simon Bevan for Pope

@jollyswagman340 has been banned by the TMO for a week and so will be back next week, in his place to join @funontheshore is the Godfather of EatSleepRugby. They discuss Jake Ball’s impressive gash and a host of other stuff including joining the campaign to make Simon Bevan of Burry Port RFC the most famous player on the planet.

ESR 27-4-16 – Andy Goode & Greewood on Kebabs, Castro in Vegas

Will Greenwood and recently re-retired Andy Goode join us for our latest podcast…plus we discuss latest citings, Euro Semi-Final poor attendance, our own punditry skills, Castrogiovanni’s trip to Vegas and the curious case of the 8 try thriller that never was.

ESR 20-4-16 – Gregan’s MASSIVE TACKLE

‘Pint sized’ George Gregan was one of the leading scrum halves in the 1990’s famed for the length of his ….. pass, and thus deserves a mention for his birthday. Liam Gill’s drop goal, @Funontheshore’s feeble attempt at gambling and the rise of Women’s 7s rugby as a brilliant spectacle fill the rest of this week’s podcast.

ESR 13-4-16 – Cross Border Competition Rivalry

This week, we have a slightly longer ‘Bumper’ episode as there is so much to get through. Also Super Rugby gets pushed far down the rankings in terms of importance, much to our Aussie friend’s annoyance.

ESR 6-4-16 ANGRY RUGBY, Erectile Dysfunction

This week the guys look at the angriest weekend of rugby in a while in addition to latest reaction from the Joe Marler ‘GypsyGate’ punishment. They look at whether Welsh rugby is ‘hard’ enough too.

ESR 30-3-16 – Domestic Roundup PLUS LINDSAY HILTON

This week the guys look very briefly at the domestic leagues around the world before moving onto one of the greatest inspirational stories in Rugby – the mighty Lindsay Hilton! Both our podcasters are making a return to competitive sports this weekend and they’re feeling the nerves!

ESR 23-3-16 – England Grand Slam

Fresh from Paris, our Welsh and Australian pundits are licking their wounds as they begrudgingly congratulate England on their Grand Slam. Our automated ‘Podcast TMO’ feature is fast taking over the show and covering up (or highlighting) any mistakes.

ESR 16-3-16 – Eng v Wal and other stories

Here’s a fun one for England fans, a Welsh and Australian perspective on England’s victory at Twickenham and overall success in the 6 Nations. PLUS we give massive kudos to Glen Jackson for his refereeing performance at the weekend at Murrayfield (Even if Jolly Swagman gets his name wrong!) AND we take a look at Super Rugby Round 3 and the Women’s World Rugby Rankings.

ESR 9-3-16 – Vegas 7s Super Rugby & 6 Nations

Fresh from our being voted the world’s number 1 Rugby podcast in a poll of our own families, we bring you all the action* from Las Vegas, All the action* from Super Rugby and preview all the action** this week from the 6 Nations. find out about @funontheshore’s dodgy mobile phone TV subscription too.

*Far from all of it.
*As best we can.

ESR 2-3-16  – Super Rugby vs 6 Nations

Not since October has the Northern Hemisphere taken such a battering by the South. Europe’s showpiece Rugby event was embarrassed by the quality of the first round of Super Rugby, PLUS Brazil defeated the USA which was the result of the global game this week. This week’s podcast begins at the Stoop for the England v Ireland Legends game that we’ve discussed so much over the past couple of weeks. Many thanks to them for having us there.

**Bonus** Anthony Watson & Matt Mullen Interview

We were lucky enough to catch up with 2 members of the England Squad at Pennyhill Park, Anthony Watson of Bath and Matt Mullan of Wasps. They spoke to us about the Natwest Schools Cup Academy Competition, their involvement in schools rugby ‘back in the day’ and discuss the upcoming England v Ireland Clash plus fielding questions about their respective clubs.

Wednesday 24th January
The battle of the Rugby tournaments is on, 6 Nations v Super Rugby. Reset scrums vs tries, penalty kicks vs exquisite ball handling skills, rousing anthems vs an overly complicated conference structure. Just what is Super Rugby? What does it have to offer the average Northern Hemisphere rugby fan with his/her love of 0-0 draws?

**Bonus** Shane Byrne EatSleepRugby Interview

In our final Bonus interview before England Vs Ireland Legends on Friday 26th at the Stoop, we were lucky enough to speak to Shane Byrne the Ireland Legends captain about the legends game, a future Legends Lions series, Ireland’s hugely successful adoption of professional rugby and his, albeit brief, return to Gaelic Football.

Wednesday 27th January

This week we take our preview over the Irish Sea to our Celtic Cousins, but not before we’ve gone on some bizarre tenuous 6 Nations tangent over the south Atlantic to Argentina. This episode has some good suggestions for the British & Irish Lions.

We discuss Italy’s chances in this years 6 Nations competition. Can they win it? Finally listen to a taste of things to come as we plug in our new Microphone!! Exciting times for the EatSleepRugby Podcast.

Wednesday 20th January

After promising it last week, the EatSleepRugby Podcast boys finally move their attention onto Wales and the Welsh chances in this year’s Six Nations Championship. Plenty of tangents again although they did somehow manage to keep it mostly on the Welsh team… somehow.

Wednesday 13th January 2016

Following a promise last week to discuss Wales, our 6 Nations preview takes a bit of a RWC tangent before looking at Scotland & France’s chances. Plenty of French rugby based cliches coming up, be warned!

Wednesday 6th January 2016

EatSleepRugby launches into the airwaves with this, our podcast. Regular contributors, ‘Fun On the Shore’ and ‘The Jolly Swagman’ begin building up to the 6 Nations Championship with a lighthearted take on how an Aussie thinks the tournament will go for England under new coach Eddie Jones.
