School of Hard Knocks

“School of Hard Knocks is a charity using rugby to tackle issues surrounding unemployment, crime and health. We work with individuals to help them take reponsibility and take positive steps forward in their lives.
In our flagship course, filmed every year by Sky Sports, we recruit a team of unemployed young men, and turn them into a cohesive rugby team. School of Hard Knocks has been around the country: from East London to Glasgow, North Wales to Birmingham. Our last series in Cardiff featured Liam, who was struggling to find employment after a stint in jail, but became a key player and inspiring member of his team. We caught up with him recently, a year on from the course, to see how he’s turned his life around after landing a job at Arriva trains.
Our 9th Series, currently being filmed in the London Docklands, will air next summer on Sky Sports. You can follow @SOHKcharity for updates and donate here to support our work!”

The School of Hard Knocks Final match is being played at the Honourable Artillery Company in London on March 22nd. These lads really to a cracking job and it is a superb charity to get behind. Tickets are open to the public (event page here), with all money raised going back to the charity. To be honest, even if you are not interested in the charity (which you would be daft not to), the pitches are incredible.
